How hip-hop fared at the 2017 Billboard Awards

While Drake‘s latest album, Views, wasn’t as well-received by hip-hop fans, there’s no denying the Toronto rapper continues to put hip-hop on the map during awards shows. For the record, I enjoyed most of Views, but I recognize it’s among his weaker works.

If you watched the 2017 Billboard Music Awards, hooray — you turned up to Celine Dion and Cher. If not, here’s a list of how hip-hop fared.

Top Artist: Drake

So, in total, Drake took home 13 awards, but, according to the Breakfast Club (because I wasn’t watching, I’ll admit), only three were accepted during the show.

So, maybe Drake will have this blaring throughout his speakers today:
